Get hands-on with the Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS), a managed cloud database platform from Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS engineers will guide you through advanced concepts for managing Oracle databases in the cloud. Learn how to setup high-availability, upgrade, monitor, and configure your database using a managed service. Some prior cloud experience would be helpful (beneficial to create an AWS account beforehand). Remove the undifferentiated grunt work from your day to day by learning to use APIs to automate pain away, allowing you to focus on high-value tasks like tuning, scaling, design, and analysis.

Objective 1: Learn how to configure and monitor highly available databases in the cloud.
